2011 Western Alliance Conference July 26-30

Mayborn Planetarium & Space Theater at Central Texas College, Killeen
Our theme: "Evolution or Extinction: Thriving in a Climate of Change" addresses the issues that planetariums face today. Why are some domes thriving and others closing? Why are some able to get funding while others struggle along? What are you doing to succeed, and how can this help others planetariums? What technologies are adding value to the audience experience and boosting attendance? These are some of the questions that are being asked. Together, lets find some answers at WAC2011.

Register now to get the low rate of $180!

Are you a vendor?
Planetarium conferences exist because of the generosity of the vendors. The WAC is no different. We are grateful for the support of our vendors in the past, and are pleased to work with them for our conference and future conferences.

We are looking for people that wish to share their experience as directors, producers, educators, and operations staff at planetariums in the WAC regions. Present a paper, run a workshop, or simply register and network with your fellow planetarians...

Portable Domes for Content

The vendors listed below are bringing portable domes and have expressed an interest in availing their dome for your content to be displayed in the vendor hall. If you have produced content that you would like to have available in their dome, please contact that vendor directly.

We still have plenty of space in the vendor hall for more portables, and dome time for shows on our fulldome system.
